Türkiye–U.S. M&A Daily Brief — October 1, 2026
Q4 2026 opens with Türkiye–U.S. M&A momentum; U.S. closings include Ecolab data center expansion and Castlelake aviation portfolio update.
As of 8:00 a.m. EDT / 3:00 p.m. Türkiye time on October 1, 2026. This brief reviews developments from September 29 through October 1.
Q4 2026 opens: Türkiye–U.S. M&A outlook
The fourth quarter of 2026 opens with the strongest Turkish-U.S. cross-border M&A pipeline in the tracked dataset. The key transactions to monitor in Q4 include: the Yıldız Holding U.S. snack acquisition process; the Tera Robotik U.S. robotics software closing (expected Q4); the Turkish defense aerospace JV regulatory approvals; and the Point72–HubX closing (expected Q4).
On the regulatory front, the Section 301 investigation preliminary determination is expected by late October. The AFIDA amnesty period closes December 15. The SEC climate disclosure rule takes effect for large accelerated filers on January 1, 2027, creating a year-end compliance deadline for Turkish companies listed on U.S. exchanges.
The U.S.-Türkiye Business Council trade mission to Washington, D.C. on October 14-16 will provide an important forum for Turkish companies to engage with USTR, Commerce, and Treasury officials on the Section 301 investigation and other bilateral trade issues.
Ecolab expands data center water treatment business
Ecolab announced the expansion of its data center water treatment and cooling services business on September 30, following the completion of the CoolIT Systems integration. The expanded business will offer integrated thermal management solutions combining Ecolab's chemical water treatment programs with CoolIT's direct liquid cooling hardware for hyperscale and enterprise data center customers.
The expansion reflects the growing demand for integrated thermal management solutions as AI workloads drive data center power densities beyond the capacity of traditional air cooling. Ecolab's combined offering positions it to capture a larger share of the data center services market as customers seek single-vendor solutions for their cooling infrastructure.
Castlelake announces easyJet portfolio performance update
Castlelake announced the first quarterly performance update for its easyJet aircraft portfolio on September 30. The 25 Airbus A320-family aircraft are performing in line with underwriting assumptions, with all aircraft on lease and no delinquencies. The portfolio's weighted average remaining lease term is 7.2 years, and the aircraft are expected to generate approximately $95 million in annual lease revenue.
Aviation portfolio performance updates of this type provide useful benchmarks for Turkish investors evaluating aviation finance as an asset class. The key metrics — lease utilization, remaining lease term, and annual lease revenue — are the primary drivers of aviation portfolio value and should be the focus of due diligence for any Turkish investor considering aviation finance investments.
Key takeaway
Q4 2026 opens with a strong Turkish-U.S. M&A pipeline and significant regulatory developments on the horizon. Turkish companies with U.S. operations or ambitions should prioritize the Section 301 investigation monitoring, AFIDA compliance, and SEC climate disclosure preparation in their Q4 planning.
