Turkish logistics company signs U.S. last-mile delivery joint venture
A Turkish logistics and e-commerce fulfillment company — which has not been publicly identified — signed a joint venture agreement on September 26 with a U.S. last-mile delivery technology platform to establish a joint venture targeting the Turkish-American community's e-commerce logistics needs in the New York metropolitan area. The JV will operate a network of micro-fulfillment centers and delivery routes serving Turkish-owned businesses and consumers in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The initial investment commitment is approximately $12 million.
While smaller in scale than the other Turkish-U.S. transactions tracked this quarter, this JV illustrates a distinct market entry strategy: targeting the Turkish diaspora community as an initial customer base before expanding to the broader U.S. market. This approach reduces initial customer acquisition costs and leverages existing community relationships, but it also creates concentration risk if the business cannot successfully expand beyond the diaspora market.
Key legal considerations include the JV governance structure, the treatment of the U.S. partner's existing delivery technology and customer relationships, and the regulatory requirements for operating a last-mile delivery network in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut — including vehicle licensing, driver classification, and local business permits.
Ondas Holdings expands defense platform through additional acquisition
Ondas Holdings announced the acquisition of a second defense technology company on September 26, adding counter-drone detection and neutralization capabilities to its existing autonomous systems portfolio. The target, which was not publicly identified, develops radio frequency detection and jamming systems for perimeter security and force protection applications. The transaction value was approximately $28 million in Ondas stock.
The acquisition deepens Ondas's position in the autonomous defense systems market following its earlier Dzyne Technologies acquisition. Counter-drone technology is subject to FCC spectrum regulations, ITAR export controls, and DoD procurement requirements that must be carefully managed in the post-closing integration.
Verisk Analytics completes AccuLynx integration milestone
Verisk Analytics announced the completion of the first phase of its AccuLynx integration on September 27, including the migration of AccuLynx's customer data to Verisk's cloud infrastructure and the launch of the first integrated product combining AccuLynx's contractor workflow tools with Verisk's property intelligence data.
The rapid integration timeline — less than 60 days from closing — reflects Verisk's experience with technology acquisitions and the complementary nature of the two companies' data assets. The integrated product is expected to be commercially available to roofing contractors in Q4 2026.
Key takeaway
The Turkish logistics JV illustrates the diaspora-community market entry strategy as an alternative to direct U.S. market competition. The Ondas defense expansion and Verisk–AccuLynx integration reflect continued post-closing activity in defense technology and property analytics respectively.
